The building sector is undergoing a major transition towards climate neutrality. While the EPC currently focuses primarily on a building’s energy performance, the ambition of Net Zero goes much further: minimising and offsetting its overall climate impact throughout the entire life cycle. This requires a focus not only on energy efficiency and renewable energy, but also on material use, circularity and smart building management.

During this conference afternoon, we will explore how building owners, facility managers, designers, construction professionals and policymakers can move beyond energy performance towards truly climate-neutral buildings. What challenges lie ahead, and which solutions can make the transition to Net Zero achievable and, above all, affordable?
